Assad Mounser Jewelry

Amanda Assad Mounser is a New York-based jewelry designer who debuted her collection, Assad Mounser for the Autumn/Winter 2009 season. Prior to launching Assad Mounser, Assad Mounser worked in the fashion industry for Moschino and Alejandro Ingelmo.

The Assad Mounser aesthetic is inspired by the decadence of the 1970's glam rock culture. Fusing organic materials such as agate, druze and quartz with heavier metal components. The look is distinctly bohemian with an edge. 

I am so in love with this jewelry, it's so fresh, trendy and what I love the most are the great combo of materials.

2nd night of Dreft Fashion Week Zagreb

Yesterday evening I spent at Dreft Fashion Week. I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with the collections. Exception was perfect design of Aba Tomičić which was the best presented collection of the evening.

Event started with casual and colorful collections of high street brands Sisley and Benetton.

Jewelry designer, Mladen Grubić, presented his collection through dance perfomance.

Aba Tomičić presented great collection. Voluminous white, beige and black jackets of artificial leather and the rest of the collection showed Abas great knowledge of proportion and materials. Aba used neutral colors, but despite it, inventiveness was present.

Austrian brand Superated presented palyfull collection full of neon colors and details.

Steven Tai, closed the event with the collection he presented also on Berlin Fashion Week. Layers and decontruction were the main elements in Stevens collection.

Minimalistic but IT

Last Thursday, Vitaly Design launched their spring 2013 “Clocks & Colours” collection, predominantly made of ceramic, mixed with wood and metals.

“I want people to wear my jewelry like the wear their favorite pair of jeans,” says Shane, one of the designers for this jewelry brend.

 The accent of collection is on minimalistic single, double and triple rings and on  pendants.

I know why the caged bird sings by Maya Angelou

A free bird leaps on the back
Of the wind and floats downstream
